A hand weaver by trade, she also specialises in mixed media textiles creating one of a kind framed wall art, lampshades and jewellery. Her work has appeared in various press publications since starting her business in 2012. For example, The Irish Times Magazine, House and Home Magazine, Irish Tatler, The Irish Examiner as well as mentions in online blogs and even appeared and was interviewed for Irish TV on Sky. Showcase Ireland 2018 will mark Gráinne’s second return to this event. She is inspired by local beaches along the Wexford Coastline and surrounding landscape. Her love for colour, texture and attention to detail are key qualities of her work. She uses quality materials such as linens, silks, wools and cottons amongst other unusual materials that she sources within Ireland and worldwide. For 2018, Gráinne is introducing her jewellery range of pendants that are inspired by the colours of her ‘Sea-studies’ which is the name that she calls her body of textile artworks. She caters for the wedding and gift market, private clients, Interior designers and also attends regular craft and trade fairs. Gráinne is registered with the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland and is a member of Wexford Craft Trail. Her work is available through selected craft and design led stockists in Ireland.
