Patricia “P” Gurgel-Segrillo is a Cork based artist designer-maker creating wall & wearable art under the name gurgel-segrillo. P holds a Masters Degree in Design Studies from the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London and has been a member of the DCCoI since 2012. P’s art jewellery series has been exhibited in galleries in the UK, Spain, Switzerland, Japan, Brazil and the USA. Using techniques developed over three decades of jewellery-making, they creates beautifully tactile pieces, mainly in metals, but also in glass and textiles. Through their wall art series P explores our interconnectedness, offering fine art prints that invite us to reflect on our shared humanity. Both gurgel-segrillo’s wall art as well as the wearable art series are created and shipped worldwide from their Cork City studio.
